The Property:
This very special riverside property offers peace and tranquillity in a secluded, wooded setting. The village of Aspiran is about five minutes drive.
Originally a ferryman?s cottage the house is set in private grounds with trees and flowering shrubs. It has been restored to a very high standard with good furnishings and fittings throughout. All rooms have river views and are spacious and light incorporating many original features. The large, southfacing, sunny terrace, is perfect for ?al fresco? meals and sunbathing and is well equipped with outdoor furniture and sunloungers.
Spacious living area is well furnished with a comfortable sofa and arm chairs, lamps and coffee table. A large open fireplace (not yet in use) is the central feature of this room with its old exposed beams. To the right there is an open hall area, with access to the double-bedded room with wardrobe. Also off this central hall area is the modern bathroom, with sink, a small bath and large separate shower cubicle. The twin bedroom on the second floor is reached via a stone staircase from the hall and is furnished with twin beds and wardrobe. Through the hall is the kitchen /dining room. The large kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven gas and electric hob. There is a seperate WC with hand basin situated off the kitchen. The back door from the kitchen opens onto the garden at the side of the house.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. There is a music centre with CD player, available for your use. Gas heating for winter lets
Please note that due to the proximity of the river this house may not be suitable for families with young children.
