The Property:

Situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the lively village of Paulhan, this property is ideal for family holidays and those seeking a base to tour the region. The house is on two floors with a large sunny living area opening onto the south facing terrace. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and arm chairs there is a TV with UK free view channels and a separate TV and DVD player which plays English DVDs. The modern fitted kitchen is well equipped with an under worktop gas hob and electric oven a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine are located in the adjoining utility area of the garage. On the ground floor you will find a large 'walk in' shower room with WC. Upstairs are three bedrooms, two double bedded rooms and one that can be made up as either a double or twin bedded room. One of the double bedded rooms has an ensuite WC and hand basin. The family bathroom has a bath with hand shower, WC and hand basin. The mature garden surrounds the house with lots of colourful Mediterranean shrubs and flowers. Garden furniture includes table and chairs for outside dining, sun loungers and a built in BBQ. The circular pool is 4.5m in diameter and 1.10m deep. Secure parking for up to two cars in available within the grounds of the property. Sheets and towels are included in the rental. Non smokers only please, children over seven years old welcome.

The Village: Paulhan

Paulhan is a 1,000 years old village with a historic 'circulade' centre. The surrounding area is noted for it's extensive vineyards and picturesque villages, each with it's own wine-making co-operative, and numerous sites of historic interest. Paulhan is particularly lively during the summer months with a number of street festivals.

The village is well served by shops and restaurants, there is a weekly street market and a well attended flea market every Sunday morning.

The historic town of Pezenas is a ten minute drive; here you will find a wider choice of shops, supermarkets. In particular Pezenas is known for it's large number of antique and 'brocante' shops. The Mediterranean coast is about 25 minutes drive and the impressive city of Montpellier is 45 minutes drive.
