The Property:

Situated between Nimes and Montpellier, in the heart of the Petit Camargue, we invite you to discover this thirty hectare wine estate and its charming accommodation. La Maison du Notaire is the principal property on the Mas de Notaire estate with further accommodation in the neighbouring buildings. Mas du Notaire was named after one of its early twentieth centuary owners who was also a notary. It was completely restored in 2007 and its stone buildings date back to the mid nineteenth centuary. The interior has retained its traditional rustic charm with traditional locally sourced materials: Beaucaire stone, exposed beams and traditional limed walls. It has been decorated with care and attention including linen curtains, velvet bedspreads and vintage bed linens. Enter into the groundfloor entrance hall with a stone staircase, to the left is the kitchen equipped with cooker, fridge and microwave. There is a large dining room to the right. Upstairs you will find the light and spacious living room featuring a huge open fireplace (decorative only). There are two double bedrooms each with its own en-suite shower room. The house is centrally heated during the winter months. Mas du Notaire is a working Vinyard producing high quality fine wines. During your stay you are invited to taste the full range of wines on offer as well as tour the state of art modern cellars and learn about the wine making process from the vineyard to your table.
